Villa Betulia — Vintage 2022 Caturron
Summary
This unique Caturron honey processed coffee from Luis Aníbal Calderón comes from a rare variety he discovered on his own farm. The cherries, grown in Huila, were fermented anaerobically for 200 hours with spices as dried fruits in sealed bags, then pulped for 50 hours in concrete tanks. Drying took 22 days on raised beds under passive solar tents. This 2022 harvest was frozen upon arrival to preserve its character and build the vintage list. It is the roaster's first release, offering an explosion of cinnamon, vanilla, vanilla pudding, lemon myrtle and floral notes.
