1. About Cuppd
Cuppd is a specialty coffee discovery platform operated by Szabó Mátyás, a private individual based in Hungary ("we", "us", or "Cuppd"). The service is currently in beta and provided free of charge. By accessing or using Cuppd, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use Cuppd. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Users under 16 may browse public content without an account but may not register.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent — all account data and associated content is erased and cannot be recovered.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. User-Generated Content
Cuppd allows registered users to submit coffee reviews and suggest new coffees to be listed on the platform. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and moderate that content within the service.
All submitted content is reviewed before being published. We use automated tools as an initial screening step and manually approve content before it appears on the platform. We reserve the right to reject or remove any content that we deem inappropriate, inaccurate, or in violation of these terms.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you submit. Do not submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews or information
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Cuppd without permission
- Use the service to distribute spam or unsolicited communications
- Impersonate another person or entity
6. Intellectual Property
All content on Cuppd that is not user-generated — including the platform design, logo, and curated coffee data — is the property of Cuppd or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
7. Third-Party Links
Cuppd may link to external websites, such as roaster webshops. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party websites.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Cuppd is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of coffee product data displayed on the platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Cuppd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
As Cuppd is currently operated by a private individual without a registered business entity, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid for the service, which is zero as the service is free.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice within the service. Continued use of Cuppd after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Hungary. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Hungary.
