Selección Planadas

Summary

This Selección Planadas is a washed coffee from 1,042 small organic growers in the Planadas region of South Tolima, Colombia. Grown at up to 2,050 meters above sea level, the farmers cultivate Colombia, Castillo and Caturra varieties on rich volcanic soils. The coffee is processed using the washed method: organically grown cherries are selected, depulped, fermented, thoroughly washed, and dried in parabolic greenhouses for 10-18 days. Tasting notes include red apple and stonefruit with a smooth brown sugar and black tea body.
