Guarapo Decaf - Colombia
Summary
A decaffeinated Colombian coffee from the Monkaaba producer collective in San Augustin and Ricabrisa, Huila, grown at 1650–2000 masl. A collective effort: each producer delivers cherries to the bodega, where the coffee is sorted and milled before decaffeination at Descafecol using a sugarcane-derived ethyl acetate (EA) process. Roasted for filter, it is sweet and creamy, with notes of tiramisu, freshly made donuts and macadamia. Named after guarapo, fresh-pressed sugarcane juice common on Colombian coffee farms.
