La Belgica
Summary
La Belgica is a Colombian specialty coffee from the Antioquia region, produced by Aldrubal Gomez on his farm near Concordia, 95 km from Medellin. The 10-hectare farm is divided into four lots with different altitudes and soil, benefiting from volcanic-ash-enriched soil and a favorable microclimate along the Cauca river. Grown at 2200 m from certified Caturra and Colombia varieties, the coffee is hand-picked and processed using a traditional natural method with a 24-hour fermentation and mechanical drying. Cup profile: milk chocolate, hazelnut, citrus, green apple, with hints of lemon, caramel and berries.
