Kibingo
Summary
Kibingo is a washed Red Bourbon coffee from Burundi, produced by over 3,500 smallholder farmers who deliver cherry to the Kibingo washing station (operated by Greenco) near Kibira National Park in the Kayanza region. Grown at 1700-1900 meters, the coffee is selectively hand-picked, pulped, density-separated, fermented, washed, and dried before export. This microlot, isolated for its superior cup quality, offers a syrupy body, juicy acidity, and flavor notes of ginger peach puree, honeycrisp apple, panela, lemongrass, and dried tropical fruit.
