Betania Farm Papayo

OriginColombia
ProcessAnaerobic, Washed

Summary

Single-origin Colombian coffee from Betania farm in Huila, grown at 2,000 metres by producer Linarco Rodríguez, part of a network of 117 smallholder producers. The Papayo variety lot undergoes a washed process with 32 hours of anaerobic fermentation, followed by slow drying on African beds for 20-25 days. In the cup it is fruity and juicy with notes of cherimoya and apricot, a base of vanilla and jelly sweets, and a subtle maple finish. Vibrant acidity, silky body and a long, clean aftertaste. Suited to filter brewing and also works well as espresso.
