Las Perlitas Chiroso Colombia - Washed Chiroso
Summary
Las Perlitas Chiroso is a washed Colombian coffee from Huila, produced by a network of smallholder farmers and sourced by The Coffee Quest. The name "Las Perlitas" (little pearls) refers to the small, high-quality lots contributed by individual producers and combined into a consistent, expressive profile. Grown at 1,600-2,000 MASL, the Chiroso variety benefits from high-altitude conditions that support slow cherry maturation. Lots are cupped on arrival and again at the warehouse, then packed in Grainpro. Fermentation runs 24-48 hours, sometimes up to 72, with 7-14 days drying. Flavour notes: blueberry, hibiscus, floral honey, cherry.
