Tanzania Arusha
Summary
Single-farm arabica from Burka Coffee Estate, founded in 1899 near Arusha in northern Tanzania. The estate, which also absorbed neighbouring Selian Estate, grows around 1.3 million shade trees and has planted coffee since 1918. This lot comes from the 2025/26 harvest at 1,350–1,500 m and is fully washed: ripe cherries are pulped within six hours, fermented and soaked, then dried on raised African beds for up to seven days to 12% moisture. Varieties are Blue Mountain, Kent, KP423, N39 and Red Bourbon. The cup is characterised by mild acidity with lemon, chocolate and caramel flavours.
