Decaf Colombia - Sugarcane
Summary
A decaffeinated coffee from Caldas, Colombia, produced by several farms. Varieties include Caturra, Castillo and Colombia, grown at 1,600 masl. Processed using the sugarcane decaffeination method. Tasting notes: vanilla, honey and cherry. The producers of Caldas developed this experimental lot specifically for decaffeination, selecting high-grown coffees with natural acidity to balance sweetness and preserve freshness. Since 2024, a re-drying stage in mechanical silos after decaffeination stabilises the bean and delivers a more expressive, aromatic profile.
