Ethiopia, Sasaba, Washed
Summary
This washed Ethiopian coffee comes from the Sasaba Washing Station in the Kercha district of Guji, founded by Tsegaye Tesfaye. It supports over 500 smallholder farmers at altitudes above 2000 masl. The high altitude slows bean development, enhancing flavour complexity. Cherries are fermented for 48-72 hours, washed, and dried for about 7 days. The cup is clean and bright with florals, black tea mouthfeel, and crisp lime acidity.
