Colombia - Finca El Porvenir
Summary
Single-origin Colombian coffee from Finca El Porvenir in Palestina, southern Huila, run by Sandra Milena Mora and Hector Coy. Grown organically on 5 of the farm's 12 hectares, with around 20,000 Caturra trees alongside Tabi and young Pink Bourbon. This lot is 100% Caturra, grown at 1750–1850 masl. After hand picking and sorting, cherries undergo a 36–48 hour wet fermentation, are washed carefully, pre-dried on African beds for 5 days, then finish drying in a shade house for about 20 days. Flavour notes of dark chocolate, caramel and berries.
