Ethiopia - Chelbesa
Summary
Chelbesa is a washed Ethiopian coffee from the Gedeb District in Yirgacheffe, grown at 1900–2100 masl by around 450 smallholder member farmers who deliver cherries to the Chelbesa washing station. The station was renovated in 2019 with ceramic fermentation tanks that bring clarity and speed up fermentation. The coffee undergoes 48–72 hours of wet fermentation, is washed and dried on raised beds. Flavour notes include elderflower, tangerine, lemon verbena, peach and floral, with a silky body.
