Rung'eto
Summary
Single-origin Kenyan coffee from the Rung'eto Farmers Cooperative Society, grown by smallholder farmers on the slopes of Mount Kenya in Kirinyaga at 1,600–1,800 metres. Cherries are delivered to the Karimikui washing station, sorted, fermented overnight, washed and graded, then dried on raised tables for eight to fourteen days. Varieties Ruiru 11, Geisha, Batian, SL-34 and SL-28. Washed process. In the cup: juicy cassis character with honey sweetness, fudge richness and a bright touch of apricot — sweet, smooth and complex.
