Burundi Yandaro – Fully Washed

Summary

A fully washed coffee from the Yandaro washing station near the Kibira rainforest in the Kayanza region of Burundi, bordering Rwanda. Produced from Red Bourbon (Arabica) by 2,341 smallholders each with around 250 trees. The beans are floated, hand-sorted, fermented for 10–12 hours and dried on raised beds for 2–3 weeks. Clean and elegant cup with red currant, vanilla and black tea, sweet, tea-like structure and juicy acidity. Suitable for pour-over and as a light, fruity espresso.
