Burundi Yandaro
Summary
Yandaro is a coffee from the Yandaro washing station in the Kayanza region near the Rwandan border, Burundi. The station works with 2,341 smallholder farmers who grow Red Bourbon on small plots averaging about 250 trees. The coffee is fully washed: beans are floated, manually sorted, fermented in clean water for 10–12 hours, then washed and dried on raised beds for 2–3 weeks. Cup profile is clean and elegant with red currant, vanilla and black tea, a tea-like structure and juicy acidity.
