Munyinya Long Miles
Summary
Munyinya Long Miles is a washed Red Bourbon from smallholder farmers around Bukeye in Kayanza Province, northern Burundi, at 1,760 metres. Cherries are sorted and floated, dry-fermented for around 12 hours, sometimes agitated by foot to remove mucilage, then dried slowly for 16-20 days on raised African beds. The cup shows sweet notes of crema catalana, a fruity base of nectarine and lemonade, and a black tea undertone, with juicy acidity, a silky body and a lingering finish.
