Busambo - Red Bourbon
Summary
This coffee is from Busambo in the Kyanza region of Burundi, grown at 1800-2100 meters above sea level. It is a Red Bourbon variety processed using the washed method: a 12-hour wet fermentation followed by a second 12-hour fermentation in cement tanks, then dried for 20-25 days on traditional African raised beds. The cup offers notes of candied plum, citrus, quince, with an array of sunshine flavours including loquat, apple, apricot, pink grapefruit, complex sweetness and undertones of dried fruit and cacao.
