Ethiopia - Benti Nenka

Da Matteo is a specialty coffee roaster based in Göteborg, Sweden—and they recently proved their mettle by taking first place at the 2025 Nordics Best Roaster competition against 25 other roasters. Every week they roast single origin coffees from Indonesia, Kenya, El Salvador, and Colombia, dialed in for both espresso and filter. Beyond the beans, they run several cafés across Gothenburg (Vallgatan, Magasinsgatan, Victoriapassagen) plus two concept stores, and bake their own bread and pastries. Carl-Johan Skogh and Matts Johansson are the names behind it, driven by a philosophy of traveling far for the best produce and exceeding expectations on flavour and service.
