Summary
Kenya Ngurueri AA is a single-origin coffee from Embu County, on the slopes of Mt. Kenya, produced by approximately 1,500 smallholder farmers as part of the Murue Farmer's Cooperative Society. The coffee is grown at 1,760m elevation in red volcanic soil. Processing follows the washed method: handpicked cherries are sorted, pulped, fermented for 12-48 hours, fully washed, and dried on raised beds for 2-3 weeks. Varieties include SL 28, SL 34, Batian and Ruiru 11. The taste profile is sweet and jammy with notes of clementine, papaya and black currant. Harvested December 2024.
