Ethiopia - Shale

Summary

This coffee comes from the Shale washing station near Worka in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia. Nearly 1,500 smallholder farmers handpicked cherries throughout the harvest season, grown on small family plots without fertilizers or pesticides. The cherries are carefully sorted, weighed, and processed using the traditional washed method, then dried slowly on raised beds. Expect a sweet cup with a graceful balance of fruit and floral elegance, featuring notes of pear, grapefruit, and black tea. Harvested in January 2025.
