
Decaf De Caña
Summary
Decaf de Caña is a decaffeinated single-origin coffee from smallholder producers of the ASOMUJER cooperative in Timaná, Huila, Colombia. Grown at 1400-2000 masl, the arabica varieties Castillo, Caturra and Colombia are washed and decaffeinated locally with ethyl acetate naturally extracted from sugar cane. The cooperative, founded in 2007 by ten women, now comprises seventy-five women producers. Flavour notes include cashew, orange zest and milk caramel. Intended for espresso brewing.
