Summary
A decaffeinated specialty coffee from Vergel Estate in Tolima, Colombia, grown at 1400m elevation. The lot consists of Red and Yellow Caturra varieties processed using anaerobic fermentation in oxygen-free tanks for 48-60 hours, then decaffeinated using the sugarcane ethyl acetate (EA) method. Flavour notes include rum cake, tropical fruit, crispy rice chocolate, strawberry, honey, and cacao, with a bright, juicy, and complex cup profile. This coffee won a Silver medal at the 2025 Global Coffee Awards for Decaf Espresso.
