Sweetshop
Summary
Sweetshop is a fruit-driven espresso blend from Square Mile Coffee Roasters, combining 50% Los Laureles from Guatemala and 50% Thiririka from Kenya. Los Laureles, produced by Luis Hernandez Lopez in San Antonio Huista, Huehuetenango, is a washed Caturra, Bourbon, and Pache lot with grape-like acidity and a rich, coating mouthfeel. Thiririka, from the Thiririka Farmers Cooperative in Kirinyaga, Kenya, is a washed SL-28, SL-34, and Batian lot with winey depth and a raisin-y, jammy cup. The blend delivers notes of black cherry, blackcurrant, and black grape, creating a wildly complex and fruit-packed espresso.
