Banko Gotiti

Summary

This coffee comes from the Banko Gotiti washing station in Gedeb, southern Ethiopia. It is grown by smallholder farmers in the area at 1950-2100 masl, under the shade of trees and enset (false banana). The ripe cherries are hand-sorted, pulped, and fermented for 36-48 hours, then washed and slowly dried on raised African beds for 10-15 days. The coffee is delivered through BNT Industry & Trading. It is a washed Heirloom variety coffee with notes of apricot, black tea, citrus, honey, sweet and floral, exemplifying the elegant and nuanced character of Gedeb.
