Kagere Aa
Summary
Kagere AA is a washed specialty coffee from Kagere Factory in Nyeri County, Kenya. Cherries from around 800 smallholder farmers are processed with the traditional washed method: pulped, fermented in concrete tanks, washed, soaked, and dried slowly on raised beds. Grown at 1400–1600m, it is composed of SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties. The cup is vibrant with juicy blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry and delicate floral aromatics, harmonious sweetness, remarkable clarity, and a long, juicy finish. Cupping score 88.
