Summary
KURUPE comes from the Shamatanto processing station in the Arbegona woreda of Sidama, Ethiopia, founded by Shashemo Dukale and supplied by around 200 smallholder farmers. Cherries are hand-picked at altitudes between 2,250 and 2,280 m, anaerobically fermented in GrainPro bags for five days, then dried on raised African beds for three to four weeks. Varieties include Heirloom and Zipa (74158). Cup is bright, fruity and floral with notes of black tea, orange blossom and chocolate. Recommended for filter, Aeropress or French press.
