Summary
Colombia Hacienda Venecia is a limited-edition specialty coffee from Hacienda Venecia, near Manizales in the Caldas region of Colombia. The farm has been family-run for over 100 years and four generations, growing coffee on mountain slopes under native shade trees. This lot is the Bourbon Sidra variety, representing only 1% of the farm's production, grown at 1400-1600 m. It undergoes a Natural Aerobic process — fermentation in the presence of oxygen combined with natural processing and drying of whole fruits — chosen to balance sweetness and acidity. The cup shows apple gummies, red wine and dark chocolate, juicy at the start, vinous in the middle and chocolatey at the end. SCA score 82.25.
