Refisa Ethiopia - Washed Heirloom
Summary
Washed Ethiopian coffee from the Refisa washing station in Nensebo, Sidama, near the Bale Mountains. The station, operated by SNAP since 2019, collects the harvest of 588 smallholder farmers cultivating plots of no more than two hectares at around 2,000 meters. Only ripe red cherries are selected, given a shaded fermentation of 45–60 hours, fully washed to remove mucilage, then dried on raised African beds in thin layers for 7–10 days. Heirloom variety grown at 2150 MASL. Flavour notes of chamomile, grapefruit, milk chocolate and caramel cream. Roasted light for filter and light-medium for espresso.
