Chelbesa Danche Local Landraces Washed
Summary
A washed Ethiopian coffee from the Danche washing station in the Gedeb woreda of the Gedeo Zone, Yirgacheffe. Sourced from around 800 smallholder farmers, this lot is composed mainly of Dega, Kurume, and Wolisho landraces. Grown at 2,000–2,300 metres above sea level, it offers a distinctive floral character and complex acidity. The cherries undergo a slow fermentation of 45–60 hours before being washed and dried on raised beds for 7–10 days.
