Lalesa (natural)
Summary
Single-origin natural-processed Ethiopian coffee from the Lalesa processing station, run by Ephtah Speciality Coffee in the Gedeb area of Gedeo Zone, Southern Ethiopia. Produced from cultivated landrace varieties grown by smallholder farmers at 2000 masl. Cherries are floated to remove defects, then dried in cherry on raised beds for 12-15 days, with green beans further handpicked by local women. The cup profile is jammy and floral with violet, blueberry and nectarine notes. Recommended for espresso machines and stovetops as well as fuller-bodied Aeropress or cafetière brews.
