Summary

This coffee is sourced from smallholder farmers of the Aba Sholi Women's Co-op (Abateraninkunga Ba Sholi) in the Muhanga District, central Rwanda. The cooperative was founded in 2008 by 30 women and now has 721 farmers. The coffee is a Bourbon variety, washed processed, grown at altitudes between 1,800 and 2,000 masl. The co-op is Fair Trade certified and won the Rwanda Cup of Excellence Award in 2015. The cooperative supports the community with pre-school nutrition, community education, and a health centre.
