Finca Maputo is located near La Perla in Pichincha, northwestern Ecuador, close to the Colombian border. The farm is owned by Henry Gaibor and his wife Verena Blaser, who previously worked as a surgeon and nurse in Burundi. Henry's family operates several farms in the region, parceled by variety (Typica, Sidra, SL28, Bourbon, Kaffa, Caturra). This coffee is a washed Typica variety grown at 1350m altitude, with spontaneous fermentation. The sensory profile features nectarine, black tea, and pomelo notes. Recommended for filter brewing.
