Bohnenkartell is a specialty coffee roaster in Essen, Germany, with a café in Rüttenscheid and a roastery that doubles as a coffee school. Their green beans all hit specialty grade, gently drum-roasted to preserve each origin's character — from classic espresso blends like the nutty Classico to omni-roast specials like the Idido with pineapple and rum notes. They're about value at every link: farmer, importer, roaster, barista. Beyond the beans, they run barista courses and SCA-certified programs from their Essen roastery. The café is open daily 10–7 — proper coffee, homemade cake, and unfussy advice included.
