20 Grams Coffee Roasters

20 Grams roasts in Bucharest's historic Jewish quarter, and the name is a nod to precision — every gram counts toward what lands in the cup. They lean light with longer development, chasing the aromas each origin, process, and terroir can give while keeping acidity in check and sweetness accessible enough to brew at home without professional kit. Their stance on scoring is refreshingly blunt: coffee grades have gotten inflated, so let your taste decide rather than the number. The shop sorts beans by mood — fruity and bright, balanced and sweet, chocolatey and rich — instead of by brew method, which makes picking painless. Alongside the roastery they run a daily coffee shop and stock brewing gear, grinders, and cold brew. Expect lots like Costa Rican honey SHB and Peruvian Geisha, shipped across Romania.
