Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelelektu
Summary
Single-origin coffee from the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia. The Chelelektu washing station, located in the Kochere district near the town of Yirgacheffe, has been a community hub since 2010. Approximately 363 smallholder farmers deliver carefully harvested, perfectly ripe coffee cherries to the station, which are processed using the washed method. The farms supplying the station are situated at 1900-2200 meters above sea level. Varieties include Heirloom and JARC 74112. The coffee offers floral notes, hibiscus, and white tea, with a clean, complex profile and lively acidity. This is a light roast suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.
