Summary

The Buku washing station is located in the highlands of southern Ethiopia, in the Guji region, at over 2000 meters above sea level. It sources cherries from smallholder farmers who cultivate in traditional shaded agroforestry systems with organic practices. The cherries are carefully hand-sorted and processed using the washed method. The resulting cup is clean and elegant with floral aromas, lively acidity, and complex fruit notes. The lot includes the JARC 74112 variety, developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center for disease resistance and outstanding cup quality. Tasting notes include mandarin, peach, and green tea.
