Gakuyu-ini Aa
Summary
A washed coffee from Kenya's Kirinyaga region, produced by the Thiririkwa Farmers' Cooperative Society at the Gakuyu-ini washing station. Around 3,700 smallholder farmers grow SL28, SL34, Batian, and Ruiru 11 varieties at about 1,570 meters above sea level. The beans are hand-sorted, floated, pulped, fermented overnight, washed, density-separated, soaked, and slowly dried on raised beds for 8-14 days. Flavour notes include ripe berries, peach, and rosehip, with a juicy, complex, and sweet cup.
