El Mirador – Guatemala
Summary
A washed Bourbon coffee from Finca El Mirador, located in the remote Huehuetenango region of Guatemala. Producer Jose Alberto Lopez Armas and his family have been cultivating coffee for about 38 years, focusing on quality since winning a prize in 1999. The coffee is grown at 1500-1720 meters and processed using the washed method. It offers a rich body, balanced acidity, and a praline-like mouthfeel with floral, perfumed aromatics reminiscent of Turkish delight. Notes include praliné, pistachio, and Turkish delight. Roasted for espresso but versatile across brew methods.
