Asman Gayo – Sumatra – Indonesia
Summary
This coffee comes from the Aceh region of Sumatra, Indonesia, where it is produced by smallholder farmers and processed at the Asman Gayo Mill, managed by Cup of Excellence winner Asman Arianto. The beans are a blend of Ateng, Bor Bor, Catimor, and Timor Hybrid varieties, and are fully washed. The cup is characterized by vibrant, clean acidity reminiscent of physalis, a rich cocoa body, and intense honey-like sweetness. Roasted to highlight its tartaric acidity, it is versatile across brew methods but especially suited for espresso.
