Nicaragua, Finca Bethania, Washed
Summary
Finca Bethania is a 42-hectare farm in Macueliza, Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, established in 1991 at 1350-1500 masl and run by Martha and Ana Albir, third-generation coffee growers. The Java variety was washed and delivered as wet parchment to their Cafetos de Segovia dry mill, where it dried in the shade on nets for 5 days and then in the sun. Notes of walnut, crisp red apple and a creamy, coating mouthfeel; clean, comforting and balanced.
