Ethiopia | Chelbesa
Summary
Ethiopian coffee from the Chelbesa washing station in Gedeb, operated by Ephtah and owned by Wubit Bekele. Grown at 2,150–2,200 metres on red clay soil from traditional heirloom varieties, fully washed. The cup shows pronounced sweetness with a tea-like body and floral character typical of Ethiopia, with notes of mirabelle plum, whitecurrant, bergamot and honey. Prepared as either espresso or filter, it also works well with milk.
