Atoq
Summary
A washed Red Catuaí lot from Caranavi, Bolivia, produced by Juan Boyan, who built his own dry mill in La Paz to bring visibility to the country's smallholder producers. Grown at 1,200–1,600 metres, it delivers a clean, elegant cup with juicy notes of Pink Lady apple and loquat over a base of vanilla and white chocolate, with a background of stone fruit. Honeyed acidity, a silky body and a medium, fruity finish. Well suited to filter brewing, and also works as a delicate espresso.
