Summary
This Kenyan specialty coffee from the Komothai region in Kiambu County is produced by David Waweru Kinyanjui and his family at Daviwa Farm. Grown at 1805-1890m altitude on volcanic, well-drained soils, the coffee consists of SL-28, Batian, and Ruiru 11 varieties. The cherries are hand-picked and processed using the washed method, then dried on raised African beds. This light roast coffee offers an intense, clean, and complex flavour profile with floral and citrus notes, jasmine, orange blossom, black tea, and currant. It is suitable for both filter and espresso preparation with an omniroast profile and scored 86 SCA points.
