Siko Washed, Ethiopia - Espresso / Darker Filter
Summary
This washed Ethiopian coffee comes from the Siko Washing Station in the Uraga Guji region, where around 500 local farmers deliver their harvests. Grown at 2,100–2,250 meters above sea level, the coffee is a blend of mixed heirloom varieties, typical of Ethiopia's diverse lots. The processing involves meticulous handpicking, fermentation for 24–72 hours, washing, density sorting, and drying for about 13 days. Flavour notes include lemon cake, dark cherries, and fudge. This roast is intended for espresso but also works as a bolder filter coffee.
