Mukunga
Summary
Mukunga is a Kenyan single-origin coffee from Mukunga Estate in the Githunguri sub-region of Kiambu County, grown at 1,800-1,850 meters above sea level near the Aberdare Forest. The estate, owned by Hanner Wanjiku Mukunga and established in 1970, cultivates SL28 and Ruiru11 varieties. Processed using the Kenya washed method with dry fermentation and raised-bed drying, it delivers a vibrant cup with juicy redcurrant acidity, rosehip florals, bright lime zest, warm cinnamon, and a subtle savory tomato note. Suggested for both espresso and filter brewing.
