Summary
Finca La Salaca, located in the mountainous region of Zarcero, Alajuela, Costa Rica, was transformed from a dairy farm into a specialty coffee reference by Maria Elena Castro and her family. The coffee is grown on the 'Danto' plot at 1500-1750m altitude, featuring the H1 Centroamericano variety (an F1 hybrid cross of Sachimor and Sudan Rume). Processed using the washed method at Beneficio Monte Brisas mill. Flavor profile: sweet, floral, raisin, brown sugar, lemon, with a hint of cherry. Intended for filter preparation.
