Decaffeinated Coffee, Colombia
Summary
A decaffeinated Colombian coffee from the Cauca region, grown at 1600-1950 m on nutrient-rich volcanic soils. Washed and decaffeinated in Colombia using the ethyl acetate method, which preserves the bright, vibrant character of the coffee. Exported by Racafe, whose Crecer sustainability standard covers biodiversity, soils, pesticide use, wastewater management, fermentation, drying, food security and working conditions, with a premium paid to finance farm improvements. Part of Cloud Picker's By Sail selection, shipped to Europe by wind-powered cargo ship. Tasting notes of caramel, Black Forest cake and walnut.
