Kenia Tegu
Summary
Kenia Tegu is a specialty single origin coffee from Kenya, grown in the Nyeri region near Mount Kenya. The coffee is sourced from the Tekangu Farmers' Cooperative Society, with cherries processed at the Tegu washing station at approximately 1700 m altitude. The variety is a blend of SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11. The coffee undergoes a multi-stage fully washed process including fermentation, washing, and drying on African beds. The sensory profile features notes of red currant, peach, and caramel with a high, sparkling acidity and a tomato-like umami character. It is presented as drip bag sachets with ground coffee for convenient pour-over brewing.
