Kenia Tegu
Summary
Kenia Tegu is a specialty single origin coffee from the Nyeri region of Kenya, produced by the Tekangu Farmers' Cooperative Society. Grown at approximately 1700 meters above sea level, it consists of SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11 varieties. The coffee undergoes a multi-stage fully washed processing at the Tegu washing station, including extended fermentation and soaking that develops high acidity and complexity. The sensory profile features notes of tomato, caramel, peach, and red currant, with high sparkling acidity, a distinct umami character, and a smooth, full body. Recommended for filter brewing methods such as V60, Origami, and AeroPress.
